As Bert and I are facing a move to England, we are also frantically trying to fit everything in here in Okinawa that we still haven't seen or that we have enjoyed so much that we want to see again! One of the best parts of Okinawa is the history and seeing the castle ruins and the rebuilding that has taken place since the war that my Dad served in here.

We enjoyed so much having my mom and dad come to OK this spring. Dad says it was very healing for him to see the resiliency of the OK people. When he left here in 1945, the whole island was pretty much leveled. The people are sweet and good to the Americans here for the most part and most of them want us here. The US is the 2nd largest employer on the island. Bert works with some wonderful OK people.

I was so lucky to get to go to UT, first to celebrate with my mom and dad and my brothers and sisters (minus Blaine) their 60th wedding anniversary. What an amazing milestone! I am so grateful for their health and strength and their energy! They seem to be having the time of their lives! It is hard to find them home for more than a month at a time as they travel very often!

The crowning event for the month of August though was the birth of two darling new grandbabies for Bert and I! I felt the blessings of heaven as I held them both in my arms! What a wonder it is to realize that they have come from the feet of the Savior to our arms here on the earth. What a weighty responsibility to raise these precious spirits! How grateful I am for our children that are raising each of our darling grandchildren!

We have terrific children, marvelous spouses that our children have chosen, and the cutest grandchildren ever born! We are grateful beyond measure for the goodness each of them bring to our lives! Go, kids! We love them all so much!

Can't wait to see each of our kids and grandkids in a few short weeks on our way to England, Lovey! I'm practicing the lingo already!
